Bridgerton Star Jonathan Bailey Has Been Cast As Fiyero In Wicked Adaptation

Bridgerton star Jonathan Bailey has officially been cast opposite Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo in the upcoming Wicked adaptation.

Bailey is no stranger to the stage, with leading roles in West End productions of Les Miserables, American Psycho, The Last Five Years, and Company. Now he’ll make his on-screen musical debut as Fiyero, the love interest of Elphaba and Glinda, in Wicked.

Director Jon M. Chu confirmed the casting on Twitter, writing, “He’s perfect, they’re perfect. They’d be perfect together. Born to be forever… I am too excited to pretend this hasn’t been happening. We have a Fiyero!”

Wicked will be split into two films debuting in December 2024 and December 2025.
