Julia Lester and Antonia Gentry Lead New Hulu Film Prom Dates

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series and Ginny & Georgia fans, get ready for the ultimate crossover! Julia Lester and Antonia Gentry are leading Hulu’s brand new original film Prom Dates. The duo play best friends Hannah and Jess who make a pact at 13 to have the most perfect senior prom ever. With 24 hours before the big event, everything falls apart when they break up with their dates and are left with one night to find new ones and live our their middle school dreams.

Lester plays Hannah, an anxious and closeted lesbian working on navigating her new queerness, while Gentry plays Jess who is intensely worried about what others think of her to the point that it puts their friendship in jeopardy.

They are joined by the supporting cast of Joe Hubbard as Hannah’s intensely loving and enthusiastic student council president boyfriend Greg, Jackson Davis as Hannah’s sweet older brother Jacob with eyes for Jess, Joshua Buhat as Jess’s jerky jock boyfriend Luca, Zión Moreno as college party girl Heather, Terry Hu as Hannah’s butch lesbian crush with a rockstar energy, John Michael Higgins as Principal Lundy, and Chelsea Handler as Greg’s mom Barb.

Prom Dates marks the eighth film in Hulu's original first-look slate deal with American High, including Pete Davidson’s lead debut in Big Time Adolescence, Natalie Morales’ Plan B, and the company's first-ever sequel It’s a Wonderful Binge.

The coming-of-age comedy hits Hulu this Spring.
