Elliot Page Reveals New Character Name Ahead Of Umbrella Academy Season 3
Meet Viktor Hargreeves.
Ahead of the release of The Umbrella Academy season 3, actor Elliot Page has shared on Instagram that his character will come out as transgender and be named Viktor moving forward.
In December 2020, Page came out as transgender and nonbinary. “Hi friends, I want to share with you that I am trans, my pronouns are he/they and my name is Elliot,” Page wrote on Twitter. “I feel lucky to be writing this. To be here. To have arrived at this place in my life. I feel overwhelming gratitude for the incredible people who have supported me along this journey. I can’t begin to express how remarkable it feels to finally love who I am enough to pursue my authentic self.”
The actor opened up, saying, “I love that I am trans. And I love that I am queer. And the more I hold myself close and fully embrace who I am, the more I dream, the more my heart grows and the more I thrive.”
Season 3 will find the Hargreeves siblings facing off against the Sparrow Academy, a new and possibly better version of their family. Will they find a way back to their pre-apocalyptic lives, or is this more than just a hiccup in the timeline?
The Umbrella Academy season 3 drops Wednesday, June 22 on Netflix.
