Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine Star in Celebrity Age Gap Romance in The Idea of You Trailer

In The Idea of You, 24-year-old Hayes Campbell (Nicholas Galitzine) is a member of the hottest boy band. When Solène (Anne Hathaway), a 40-year-old single mother, unexpectedly meets the pop star at Coachella, the two have instant chemistry. Will their love for each other outweigh the public scrutiny?

This film is based on the bestselling book of the same name by Robinne Lee. It’s clear from just the trailer that the filmmakers made some updates from the source material. From the way the two meet to their ages, the changes made look like an attempt to modernize the story and appeal to larger audiences. In the trailer, we see the two build a loving and romantic connection, but are restrained by the paparazzi and public opinion on their age gap. Solène also grapples with the opinion of her daughter who introduced her to the band in the first place.

Not only did we get a trailer, but fictional band August Moon’s first official single “Dance Before We Walk” is available on all music streaming platforms.
