Stranger Things 4 Trailer Finds The Hawkins Gang At War With A New Upside Down Villain

tv

It’s time… see you on the other side.

The trailer for Stranger Things 4 Vol 1 is officially here and finds our Hawkins heroes separated for the first time. Six months after the Battle of Starcourt, the gang is headed into high school without Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and Will (Noah Schnapp) who are now in California. Eleven is having trouble making friends, Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) has become a popular jock, and Max (Sadie Sink) is mourning her brother Billy’s death and even developing… levitation abilities?!

As they navigate these new complexities, another supernatural threat surfaces that will seemingly force a super-powerless Eleven and Will back to Hawkins for a full on war against the monsters of Upside Down. Meanwhile, Hopper (David Harbour) is alive and imprisoned in Russia, being forced to fight Demogorgons with a group of soldiers.

“A war is coming. Your friends in Hawkins are very much in the eye of a storm. I don’t know how to say this other than just to say it — without you, we can’t win this war.”

We got multiple teasers for this new season of Stranger Things, including the mysterious new location of Creel House, but nothing prepared us for this epic and explosive new trailer. The final seconds reveal what appears to be a human-Demogordon hybrid, the new horrifying monster bringing this war to fruition. While the Hawkins gang might be separated for now, it seems everyone will be pulled back into the “eye of the storm” to stop the chaos of the Upside Down once and for all… by going back to the very beginning.

The first volume of Stranger Things 4 drops May 27 on Netflix, while volume two following closely after on July 1. See more photos from this upcoming season, below:
