Descendants: The Rise of Red Takes Us Back In Time In New Trailer

Welcome back to Auradon, VKs! It’s good to be back, right? I think that’s how the song goes.

In the trailer for Descendants: The Rise of Red, Uma is now in charge and ready to welcome all kingdoms to Auradon Prep. She sends a special invite to Princess Red, the adventurous rebel child of the Queen of Hearts, allowing the kingdoms to reunite for the first time. Though the Queen of Hearts acts like she is all gung-ho for her reentry, she is secretly excited to take this opportunity to stage a coup and take over Auradon. In true Descendants fashion, Red doesn’t agree with her mom’s devilish ways, so she teams up with Chloe, the darling daughter of Cinderella. The pair go back in time to stop the Queen of Hearts, but find themselves much further back in time than they intended to be.

Our returning cast includes China Anne McClain as Uma (or madam principal, as I like to call her) and Melanie Paxson as the Fairy Godmother.

Our newcomers include Kylie Cantrall as Red, Malia Baker as Chloe, Rita Ora as the Queen of Hearts, Dara Reneé as Ursula’s sister Uliana, Ruby Rose Turner as young Queen of Hearts Bridget, Morgan Dudley as young Cinderella, Joshua Colley as young Captain Hook, Peder Lindell as Morgie, Grace Narducci as young Fairy Godmother, Jeremy Swift as Principal Merlin, and Leonardo Nam as Maddox Hatter. And finally, Brandy and Paolo Montalban are giving us what we all deserve by reprising their roles as Cinderella and King Charming from the 1997 film.

How will their recklessness change the course of time? Find out when Descendants: The Rise of Red starts streaming on Disney+ on July 12.
