Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds Battle It Out In New Deadpool and Wolverine Trailer

Marvel has dropped the trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine — and this time we are seeing much more than a second of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine. Wolvine and Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) are teaming up — although, I use that word very loosely because they spend most of the trailer fighting each other — to save the world.

In the trailer, Deadpool finds Wolverine drowning his sorrows in a bar. Matthew Macfadyen's Paradox confirms this is not the Wolverine that died in Logan but “this Wolverine let down his entire world.” And he doesn’t seem to interested in being involved in saving this one. It’s “not my fucking problem” he says to Deadpool as they battle it out in front of a destroyed 20th Century Fox logo.

Though it initially appears that these two can't manage to work together, they eventually do join forces to fight Cassandra Nova, played by Emma Corrin. Cassandra is the twin of X-Men's Professor X and uses her power to control people. We have yet to see how she plays a factor in the destruction of worlds, but it's clear she isn't here for fun and games.

In true Deadpool fashion, the trailer is filled with fourth-wall breaking and jokes, but we are also in for an epic fight if these two plan on successfully confronting a woman whose mind is her weapon.

We also get several teasers of the duos debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including a glimpse of a giant Ant-Man helmet and what seems to be one of Doctor Strange's portals at the end of the trailer.

What other secrets await in the most anticipated superhero team-up ever? Find out when Deadpool and Wolverine hits theaters on July 26.
