Inside Out 2 Teaser Trailer Introduces New Emotion Anxiety

As you grow up, new emotions come into play. The anxiety of starting school, the eagerness to find new friends, and the looming daunting reality of life after adolescence…

Pixar has just released its first teaser trailer for Inside Out 2. The sequel to the 2015 original film continues to follow Riley who is on the fast track to growing up.

The various emotions still living inside Riley’s head include Joy (Amy Poehler), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), Disgust (Liza Lapira, taking over for Mindy Kaling), Fear (Tony Hale, replacing Bill Hader) and Anger (Lewis Black). With Riley growing up a new emotion has entered the mix, Anxiety (Maya Hawke) and it doesn’t appear that she’s alone…

In the teaser, we see Joy excited about Riley’s future. “Our little girl is growing up so fast,” she says. “Things couldn’t be better.” That is until a wrecking crew comes in and starts destroying Riley’s mind. When the destruction clears, the new emotion Anxiety appears.

How will the other emotions fair with Anxiety entering the fold? Will Riley overcome her Anxiety-filled feelings? Find out when Pixar’s Inside Out 2 hits theaters on June 14, 2024.
