One Wish Changes Everything In Disney’s Wish Trailer, Plus More Cast Announced!

Step right up and enter the enchanting kingdom of Rosas where the all-new Disney musical comedy Wish is waiting to whisk you away on a magical adventure.

In the official trailer for Wish, nerves overwhelm Asha (Ariana DeBose) as she begins her apprenticeship with King Magnifico (Chris Pine), the ruler of Rosas and sole keeper of hundreds of wishes entrusted to him by people from all over the world. But things take a turn when Asha discovers the King will never grant the townspeople’s wishes and demands that the people deserve more. “I decide what everyone deserves!” shouts King Magnifico, doubling down on his decision.

Soundtracked by DeBose singing a snippet of “The Wish” from the film, Asha looks to the starry night to make a wish that will change everything, only to be met with the real-life trouble-making star shortly after. The magic that ensues catches the attention of the King and Queen. Now faced with the threat, King Magnifico uses his power to call on the townspeople to find Asha, while she races to save her kingdom. Star and Valentino, a talking goat, join Asha to stop King Magnifico and prove even the smallest things can have the power to change everything.

Walt Disney Animation Studios also shares the rest of the cast starring opposite DeBose as the 17-year-old quick-witted idealist Asha who dares to dream big and make a wish so powerful that it catches the attention of a cosmic force, Pine as the formidable King Magnifico, and Asha’s comical talking goat companion Valentino, voiced by Alan Tudyk.

Asha has two parental figures in her life including her grandfather Sabino, voiced by Victor Garber, who at 100 years old is patiently waiting for his wish to be granted, and her loving and supportive mother Sakina, voiced by Natasha Rothwell.

Asha’s close-knit friend group help her along the way such as her dearest friend Dahlia, voiced by Jennifer Kumiyama, an accomplished baker and the unofficial leader of their group; Simon, voiced by Evan Peters, a strong guy with a big heart and an even bigger yawn; Hal, played by Niko Vargas, is Asha’s joyful, always smiling buddy; and Dario, voiced by Jon Rudnitsky, plays Asha’s rosy-cheeked, wiggly-eared pal.

Other characters include Gabo, voiced by Harvey Guillén, who is cynical, but has a heart of gold; Safi, voiced by Ramy Youseff, a companion who’s plagued by allergies; and Bazeema, voiced by Della Saba, the seemingly shy teenager who’s full of surprises.

Learn the origins of Disney’s famous wishing star when Wish premieres in theaters on November 22.
