Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story Casts Holland Roden, Matthew Daddario, Tony Danza, and Our Favorite Football Legends
Following the success of Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story, Hallmark Channel will be back with a new football romance this Christmas season in the form of Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story — and we know the starting line up!
Holland Roden plays pediatric doctor Morgan Quinn opposite Matthew Daddario as the Bills’ VP of Stadium Development Gabe DeLuca. The duo have always been close friends thanks to a decade of their families supporting the Buffalo Bills, even though everyone with eyes can see he feels more for her. When Morgan learns from her Uncle Tommy, played by Tony Danza, that someone has been anonymously helping their family and gifting them Christmas presents each year since he was drafted over 60 years ago, she seeks out his benefactor. When things don’t turn out as expected, Gabe uses his Bills connections to pull off the surprise of a lifetime for both of their families in a Christmas they’ll never forget.
Tracy Pollan, Caroline Aaron, Steve Schirripa, and Patti Murin round out the Quinn and DeLuca families, while some of our favorite football pros join the cast, including Head Coach Sean McDermott, Running Back Ray Davis, Safety Damar Hamlin, Offensive Tackle Dion Dawkins, Tight End Dawson Knox, Long Snapper Reid Ferguson, Defensive Tackle DeWayne Carter, and Wide Receiver Joshua Palmer. You’ll also see Buffalo Bills legend Jim Kelly, former teammates Steve Tasker, Thurman Thomas, Scott Norwood, and Andre Reed, and Bills play-by-play announcer Chris Brown get in on the action, while Luke Russert pays homage to his father, the late broadcast journalist and die-hard Bills fan Tim Russert. Dustin Rikert directs from a script by actresses Vanessa Marano and Danielle Morrow.
Production begins today in Buffalo, NY at iconic locations in the area including Oishei Children’s Hospital and the Highmark Stadium, which is heading into its final season as the Bills home field.
