A24 Confirms A Sequel To Horror Breakout Talk To Me

It’s official — Talk To Me is getting a sequel!

That’s right, A24 is reteaming up with filmmakers Danny and Michael Philippou for a follow up to their horror breakout film of the summer. The Australian film follows a group of friends who discover how to conjure spirits with an embalmed hand. What starts off as a viral challenge turns terrifying when supernatural forces are unleashed.

Danny Philippou shared with Deadline that the brothers had come up with sequel ideas: “Because I was writing it for so long and we were redrafting and redrafting, you just can’t help but start writing other scenes, scenes of different people experiencing the hands, continuing on these characters’ story. So, there’s scenes for a sequel, yeah. And if A24 want it, I’ll bloody give it to them.”

Talk To Me first made waves at this year’s Sundance and has since set new records in the box office with the second biggest opening weekend for the studio.
