The Buffy The Vampire Slayer Reboot Has Found Its New Slayer In Ryan Kiera Armstrong!
The Buffyverse got a new slayer!
After Hulu announced the reboot of Buffy the Vampire Slayer back in February, they’ve been on the hunt for a new slayer that the pilot will focus on. Now Sarah Michelle Gellar has taken to Instagram to announce her predecessor who will star opposite her in the new series: Ryan Kiera Armstrong!
Gellar posted a video clip from a Zoom call with Armstrong in which she asked, “How do you feel about helping me save the world?” Tears were shed as Armstrong accepted her new role with excitement. Even her dad came in the video to share how proud he was of his daughter! “From the moment I saw Ryan’s audition, I knew there was only one girl that I wanted by my side,” Gellar wrote in the Instagram caption. “To have that kind of emotional intelligence and talent at such a young age is truly gift. The bonus is that her smile lights up even the darkest room.”
Armstrong has been seen in Anne with an E, Black Widow, American Horror Story, and Firestarter. She even just secured a Kids’ Choice Award nomination for her role in Disney+’s Star Wars: Skeleton Crew.
