The Ghost Of Chucky Haunts The White House In Chucky Season 3 Part 2 Trailer

His eyes has have lost their evil luster, his signature red hair has gone white… yup, Chucky is OLD.

At the end of Chucky season 3 part 1, the murderous doll learned that Damballa had forsaken him. “Chucky, you’re a cockroach. You always come back,” pleads Tiffany in the new trailer, as it looks like the one thing that will finally take Chucky down is something we all fear… aging.

Soundtracked by Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive,” the new trailer teases that Chucky isn’t the only supernatural horror the White House will have to deal with. There’s even a psychic leading a seance that brings us into a ghostly dimension featuring a live-action Brad Dourif back in a ghostly form as Chucky.

When it came to bringing Chucky to the “haunted” White House in Chucky season 3, it was something creator Don Mancini had been thinking about for “a long time.” “I’ve been interested in the lore that actually exists surrounding the White House and supposed ghost sightings,” he told me in an exclusive interview for Pop Culture Planet. “Most famously the Lincoln Administration where they actually held a seance at the White House. We do that too. You haven’t seen it yet, but it’s coming.”

This would allow them to dig deeper and expand on the supernatural mythology of the world of Chucky. “I mean, Chucky in a way is a ghost. In the very first scene of episode one, Henry and his mom sort of debate this. What is a ghost exactly?” Mancini shared. “It’s a spirit. It’s a thing that’s hovering around after you die. So what if it turned out that Chucky was in a place where he wasn’t the only one? I thought that was an interesting new wrinkle to explore.'“

He continued: “I thought [of] using Damballa as a context through which to explore this new facet of Chucky’s character. Now he’s faced with aging and obsolescence and being replaced in culture and being forgotten. What does that mean? All of these sort of existential questions that I think [are] amusing and interesting and hopefully a little surprising to challenge Chucky with.”

Will getting the nuclear codes from the White House help Chucky make the ultimate sacrifice to get back in Damballa’s favor? Find out when Chucky returns for season 3 part 2 on April 10 on Syfy and USA.
