These inventive and outrageous costumes not only entertain, but also provide a glimpse into the playful and expressive side of our favorite stars, offering a refreshing break from their usual public personas. Pop Culture Contributor Paola Cardenas lists some of our favorite stars showcasing their 2023 Halloween costumes.

Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly

We can surely count on these two love birds to pull out dark, cryptic aesthetic — and that’s no different for Halloween as they donned a Kill Bill couples costume.

At the Casamigos Halloween Party, Megan Fox went as Gogo Yubari, complete with her iconic schoolgirl outfit, menacing bladed weapon, and intense gaze. Fox also elevated the costume with fake blood dripping from her eyes. Meanwhile Machine Gun Kelly dressed in the iconic yellow track suit featured on the film's movie poster.

The couple came to slay, literally and figuratively.

Megan Thee Stallion

What does a hot girl do on Halloween?

Give us three incredible looks! On day one of “Hottieween,” Megan Thee Stallion dressed up as the flower from Alice in Wonderland. From the flower petal headpiece to the green stem bodysuit, the costume was *chef’s kiss.*

On day two, she gave us Death the Kid from the popular anime series Soul Eater in a series of photos on Instagram. The makeup, the hair, the nails, and everything about this look was killer!

To round out “Hottieween,” Meg’s final look was Greta Gremlin from Gremlins 2: The New Batch. Wearing a leopard print two piece top and skirt set, red lipstick, purple eyeshadow, yellow-green skin, topped with the signature pink boa… this look is one for the books.

The Kardashian/Jenner Family

It wouldn’t be Halloween without some Kardashian/Jenner costumes to bless our feeds.

Kourtney Kardashian-Barker adds some comedic fuel to the fire amid an intense dispute between her sister Kim Kardashian by posing in Kim’s Met Gala debut floral dress when she was pregnant with North. The lovely Kourt and Travis Barker also dressed as Beetlejuice and Lydia complete with her iconic red dress and veil.

Kendall Jenner did a classic renditions of Marilyn Monroe and Wonder Woman on her Instagram. She also donned a costume with her sister Kylie Jenner as Sugar and Spice — molls from Batman Forever.

North West, Kim’s eldest daughter, dressed as Kanye West’s bear from the “Graduation” album. Kim and North also dressed as Cher and Dionne from Clueless in a cute mommy and daughter photo series on Instagram. She even did a group The Cheetah Girls costume with her cousins. And finally Kim and Khloe Kardashian dressed up as Bratz dolls with custom tweed patterned dresses and purses.

Becky G

Becky G, along with other A-listers, attended Heidi Klum’s Annual Halloween Party held at the Marquee in New York City.

The Latina artist went as the Corpse Bride, a classic Tim Burton character. Becky G had her blue skin, a lace bodysuit, the veil, gloves, and her makeup was on point, especially the eyebrows!

Justin and Hailey Bieber

Hailey Bieber stunned her Instagram followers with a photoshoot of her as Carmen Electra in Scary Movie and her re-creation of the Mean Girls poster with her as every character.

Then, she and hubby Justin Bieber attended a Halloween event where they dressed up as Bamm Bamm and Pebbles from the classic cartoon The Flintstones. Justin posted a series of photos on Instagram showing the couple recreating a drawing of Bamm Bamm kissing Pebbles, along with their pet dogs. How adorable!

Demi Lovato

Some might say it’s simple, but you can never go wrong when dressing up as a Disney princess!

Demi Lovato is whistling while she works the ensemble of sweet princess Snow White. Now we know Demi is in her rock era so, of course, she put an edgy twist on her snow white bodice with a deep plunge neckline.

Paired all together with an apple in hand and a short black bob haircut, Demi truly embodied the essence of the classic princess.

Ice Spice

The rising star rapper Ice Spice has many achievements under her belt from a Dunkin’ Donuts collab to winning Best New Artist at the VMAS. Plus she’s been releasing music that we can’t seem to get out of our heads.

Ice Spice recently performed at iHeartRadio’s Powerhouse show in New Jersey. The rapper debuted her homage to the legendary cartoon Betty Boop. Her racy rendition is stirring up some controversy online, but her fans seem to love the outfit!

Sabrina Carpenter

Joining the Disney princess universe, Sabrina Carpenter went as a fun and flirty version of Rapunzel from Tangled.

The singer wore a pastel purple corset with a mini skirt, and a crown on her head. She posted a TikTok to the viral audio of Rapunzel singing the lines, “Just smell the grass, the dirt. Just like I’d dream they be,” while twirling in her long blonde hair and a frying pan for protection — just like the movie!

Carpenter also released the music video, starring Milo Manheim, for her song “feather” off her album “emails i can’t send fwd” just in time to treat her fans to some Halloween fun.

Adele

They’re creepy and they’re kooky, mysterious and spooky, they’re all together ooky… The Addams Family!, or in this case just Morticia.

Adele surprised her fans during a show at her Las Vegas residency by coming out as the mysterious Morticia Addams. Her long bloody nails perfectly tied into that spooky element!

Keke Palmer

Shine bright, shine far, don’t be shy, be a star!

Does that lyric ring a bell? That’s right, it’s “Be A Star” from the movie Life-Size, starring Tyra Banks and Lindsay Lohan. Leave it to Keke Palmer to pull that memory out of all of us who grew up loving this film.

Keke went above and beyond to showcase re-enactments of the movie poster, an iconic Eve outfit, and a reel on Instagram of her lip-synching and recreating the shopping scene in Life-Size where Eve experiences trying on clothes in real life. She’s our own living doll!

Earlier in the week, Keke also did a photoshoot of her as the Bride of Frankenstein with her beautiful baby boy as the mad scientist.

Austin Butler and Kaia Gerber

A more unconventional yet unique costume was Austin Butler as Andy Warhol and Kaia Gerber as Edie Sedgwick. The 60s duo showed up to the Casamigos Halloween party sporting looks loosely inspired by the ones they wore at the 1965 New York Film Festival.

Butler pairs his black turtleneck sweater, pants, and leather jacket with a messy blonde wig. Meanwhile Gerber channels Sedgwick by wearing a sleeveless black turtleneck, faux fur jacket, black tights, and mary jane heels.

Chord Overstreet and Glen Powell

Glen Powell and Chord Overstreet hit the Casamigos Halloween party as best friends Ricky Bobby and Cal Naughton Jr. from Talladega Nights.

The two showed off the memorable Wonder Bread and Old Spice racing jumpsuits. Dressing up as this pair from the 2006 film allows you and your best friend to embody their camaraderie and humorous dynamic. The characters Ricky and Cal aid in spreading fun across all Halloween festivities!

Taylor Lautner and Taylor Dome

“You never loved me Mom, but I needed you woahhh.”

Taylor Lautner and his wife Taylor Dome attended Klum’s Halloween party last night, showing off a funny duo costume. They opted to dress up as Pete Davidson and Timothée Chalamet in their “Yeet” skit outfits from Saturday Night Live. The skit became a viral sensation on social media with multiple people imitating their mannerisms and clothing for Halloween.

Heidi Klum and Tom Kaulitz

Every Halloween, Heidi Klum hosts a grand star-studded party and dresses up as something so outrageous that you can’t even tell it’s her. Last year, she was a giant worm that stunned the Internet.

So what did the host of the night dress up as this year? A peacock with several Cirque Du Soleil acrobats acting as her feathers, while her husband was a giant peacock egg. The acrobats showed off their skills as they lifted Klum up for photo-ops. All I can say is… Wow!
