Forget About A Broadway Show, This Hazbin Hotel Cast Member Has A Brilliant Idea For An IRL Experience

With star-studded Broadway veterans and catchy songs, it’s a no brainer to wonder what it would be like to see Prime Video’s newest NFSW animated musical series on stage. “It'd be a hell of a lot of puppeteering,” laughed actor Blake Roman. He voices fan favorite character Angel Dust and recently made his Broadway debut in Harmony.

You’ve got Erika Henningsen who originated the role of Cady Heron in Mean Girls on Broadway, Orange Is The New Black’s Kimiko Glenn who originated Dawn in Waitress, legend Daphne Rubin-Vega who is best known for originating the role of Mimi in Rent. There’s alumni from shows like Newsies The Musical, Wicked, Beetlejuice, School of Rock, Legally Blonde, Aladdin, Hamilton, Spamalot, and so many more.

Instead of a Broadway show though, Amir Talai, who plays Alastor the Radio Demon suggested a concert performance. “I think we start with a Hazbin Hotel concert performance of all the songs,” he told me, “in a really great music venue with all these incredible Broadway performers and build from there.”

Roman interjected: “You know what actually speaks to me more so than Broadway [or] a stage adaptation is something like Sleep No More where you walk into a warehouse and the entire hell scape could be there in some format.” For those who might not be familiar, Sleep No More is a theatrical experience that tells the story of Shakespeare’s Scottish play in an interactive atmosphere. Every journey and visit is unique as guests can follow different characters throughout the space.

Whether it’s a Broadway production, concert performance, or interactive experience, I’ll be the first in line for a ticket! Catch Hazbin Hotel streaming on Prime Video.
