Tune In: Beyoncé Announces Country Album

The music industry is going country, cryptic lore is back, and more. Here’s the music rundown for the week.

Beyoncé Is In Her Country Era

During the Super Bowl LVIII broadcast, Beyoncé appeared in a Verizon commercial about a comedic and flashy journey to “break the Internet.” From there, we see subtle hints at Beyoncé's previous music including “Lemonade” and “Say My Name.” After multiple failed attempts, she says, “Ok, they ready. Drop the new music.”

Following the commercial, she posted on Instagram about two new songs “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages” that fans could listen to off of her upcoming Act II album.

Listen to the new songs out now and stay tuned for Act II dropping March 29.

Shakira Announces First New Album Since 2017

The latin superstar Shakira is giving us a new album titled “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran.” This will mark her first new album in seven years, but it does feature seven previously released singles including the iconic diss track “Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions Vol 53,” “TQG,” “Copa Vacía,” “El Jefe.” and more.

The 17-track album comes out on March 22.

Twenty One Pilots’ Cryptic Lore Comes Back

Speculation ensued online as some noticed the strip only covers the eyes — something that is important to the band’s lore. Though nothing is confirmed, new and returning fans are excited for the new era through the cryptic messaging the band enjoys putting out.
