Twisted Metal Has Gotten Picked Up For Season 2

Premiering on July 27, Twisted Metal became Peacock’s most-binged original in its first week and currently ranks among the top three originals of all time as it continues to attract new viewers every week. Anthony Mackie surprised fans at The Game Awards last night to reveal its renewal for season two!

The series is based on the PlayStation game series and follows John Doe (Mackie), a motor-mouthed outsider who is offered a chance at a better life. The catch? He must successfully deliver a package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland first. He gets help from Quiet (Stephanie Beatriz), an axe-wielding car thief, and faces intense showdowns with savage marauders including a deranged clown.

“I have to give a Sweet Tooth-sized thank you to our incredible fans — I read every comment and was so blown away by everyone's love, support, and rabid enthusiasm for a paper bag. We are beyond thankful we get to continue the story of John Doe, Quiet, and Sweet Tooth as they face off against familiar faces and new grim foes in the long-awaited Twisted Metal tournament. The mixtape is made, and I’m thrilled to get back on the road with our stellar cast and crew,” said executive producer Michael Jonathan Smith.

Season one also features Joe Seanoa as Sweet Tooth, Will Arnett as the voice of Sweet Tooth, and Thomas Haden Church as Agent Stone. Neve Campbell, Chelle Ramos, Richard Cabral, Diany Rodriguez, Mike Mitchell, Jamie Neumann, and Jared Bankens round out the cast.

Catch up on season one of Twisted Metal and keep an eye out for season two on Peacock.
