First Look At Keegan-Michael Key And Jordan Peele In Netflix’s Wendell And Wild

Netflix gives us our first look at Wendell and Wild, a new stop-motion comedy collaboration between comedy duo Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele and writer/director Henry Selick. The film follows two demon brothers that escape the Underworld and find themselves in a town where they must evade a demon-duster teenager named Kat who is out to destroy them.

From the minds behind The Nightmare Before Christmas, Coraline, and Get Out, the teaser delivers animation that already looks as spindly, creepy, and kooky as Selick’s past projects. We even get a hint at the vibes of the film through the character Kat’s playlist, which features Afro punk tracks by Sate, Big Joanie, Nafets, Bad Brains, Death, and more playing on her Cyclops boombox.

Wendell and Wild makes its way to Netflix in 2022.
