Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain Have A Mother-Off in Mother’s Instinct Trailer

Mother’s Instinct stars Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain as mothers, neighbors, and best friends in their 60s suburbia. But what happens when a traumatic event leads to paranoia?

The trailer shows Alice (Chastain) and Celine’s (Hathaway) growing friendship with their children Theo and Max, respectively. One day, Max is on top of the second floor balcony porch and Alice screams for him to get off. As she rushes into the house, it becomes too late and Celine wails.

Paranoia grows when Celine grows closer to Theo and Alice suspects the incident was a test of friendship. Alice’s husband believes she’s just imagining things, but she insists that there’s something twisted as time goes on.

Josh Charles, Anders Danielsen Lie, and Caroline Lagerfelt round out the cast.

No release date has been set for Mother’s Instinct.
