Wednesday Teaser Finds Jenna Ortega In The Middle Of High School Mayhem and Murder

From the mind of Tim Burton, we’ve got our first official teaser for the upcoming Netflix series Wednesday. Jenna Ortega brings the melancholy and deadpan titular character to life perfectly in the trailer, complete with sword-fighting and high school boy-eating piranhas.

The series is a sleuthing, supernaturally-infused mystery chronicling Wednesday’s years as a student at Nevermore Academy. There, she attempts to master her psychic abilities, stop a killer terrorizing the local town, and solve a 25 years old murder mystery connected to her parents.

Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Gwendoline Christie, Christina Ricci, and Isaac Ordonez round out the rest of the creepy, kooky, mysterious, and spooky cast, meanwhile Wednesday showrunners Miles Millar and Alfred Gough are keeping the casting of the iconic Uncle Fester a secret for now.
