We’re Going Back To The Beginning With Lupita Nyong'o In A Quiet Place: Day One Trailer

Let's start from the beginning… day one, if you will.

Paramount Pictures dropped the first trailer for A Quiet Place: Day One, and I must say, the silence is deafening. This installment in the A Quiet Place franchise takes us back to the first day the creatures landed on Earth and follows new protagonist Sam (Lupita Nyong'o) in New York City. If there's anything more scary than predators with hypersensitive hearing, it's predators with hypersensitive hearing in the concrete jungle.

In the trailer, the world erupts as the creatures come crashing and explosions shake the city, sending everyone into a panic. Though at the time, no one knew it was their screams that enticed the creatures into dragging and ripping them apart viciously. Despite being in the middle of the chaos, Sam finds refuge beneath a vehicle, setting her up for a perilous journey alongside her allies Man on Island (Djimon Hounsou), Eric (Joseph Quinn), and we can't forget Frodo the cat.

As audiences eagerly await the release of A Quiet Place 3, the introduction of these new characters and even the return of a familiar one promises an action-packed, hushed-filled adventure. But it begs the question, what fate awaits Sam and her comrades? Should we expect a possible expansion to the franchise or a gut-wrenching ending for these characters?

A Quiet Place: Day One, directed by Michael Sarnoski, will be in theaters on June 28.
