Austin Butler Sings In The Trailer For Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis Biopic

Dust off those blue suede shoes — the first trailer for Elvis is here! Starring Austin Butler and Tom Hanks, the trailer chronicles the life and career of rock-and-roll legend Elvis Presley.

Before the trailer’s release, there was a virtual press conference where filmmaker Baz Luhrmann and actor Butler took us behind the scenes of the new biographical musical. Butler shared that he even sings as young Presley and his voice is mixed with tapes of Prseley in his later years. “When I began the process, I set out to get my voice to be identical. That instills fear. So that got the fire burning,” he said. “For a year before we started shooting, I was doing voice coaching.”

Elvis hits theaters on June 24.
