Will Elizabeth Reaser Be In The Twilight Animated Series?

Days before the 2024 SXSW Film Festival officially kicked off, Variety confirmed that Lionsgate is expanding the Twilight franchise with a new animated series. Pop Culture Planet’s Danielle Forte spoke to Elizabeth Reaser — oh, you know, just the Esme Cullen — about the news at the premiere of her film The Uninvited.

When asked about the Twilight animated show, Reaser was taken by surprise, telling us she “didn’t even know there was one.” Although, she continued that she’d love to be in “any cartoon.” When asked if she would be in it if they reached out to her, she said, with a smile, “That’s a yes for me. That franchise and those characters are embedded in my DNA now.” Do you hear that, Lionsgate? Elizabeth Reaser is ready for more blood!

While much of the details of the new series are under wraps for now, we do know that Sinead Daly is set to draft the script, with Stephanie Meyer expected to be involved. Producers Wyck Godfrey and Erik Feig, both Twilight veterans, will be the executive produces of the show.

It’s also been rumored that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson will not be reprising their roles in any capacity. But, as Reaser stated, she would love to reprise her role. We are begging for some OG Cullen blood to be in the series!
