Are Any Of The Couples From Netflix’s Perfect Match Still Together?

These Netflix singles couldn’t find love on their original reality shows, but they got a second chance in the new dating competition series Perfect Match. Hosted by Nick Lachey, the show brings together former cast members of Too Hot To Handle, Love Is Blind, The Circle, The Ultimatum, The Mole, Selling Tampa, and more to find love in a tropical paradise. They compete to form relationships, break up couples, and send them on dates with new singles to find the ultimate Perfect Match.

The first season ended with The Circle’s Joey proposing to Sexy Beasts star Kariselle, who he had a previous connection with prior to the show. Meanwhile The Mole’s Dom and Too Hot To Handle’s Georgia were dubbed the season’s Perfect Match in a vote by their fellow cast mates — but are the couples from the show still together? Pop Culture Planet’s Kristen Maldonado spoke to members of the cast at the junket to get the tea.

Joey and Kariselle: Not Together

When Joey and Kariselle first got to the villa it was revealed that they had previously had a relationship that didn’t work out due to Joey’s issues with commitment. Within the first few episodes, Kariselle wasn’t sure if she wanted to connect with Joey due to those past issues or make a new connection with someone like bad boy Chase. Ultimately she gave love with Joey a chance and the season ended in them getting engaged in Panama. But unfortunately, the relationship didn’t work outside of the reality show bubble.

“I would say all of us are really still friends. This show brought us all together and it was a wild experience that only all of us know because we were there every single day,” Joey revealed. “As far as me and Kari, when we got back to reality things just weren't the way that we wanted them to be. We put so much of ourselves out there for the world to see, so a lot of this is going to remain private just between us, but we have nothing but love for each other. I respect that girl so much. I know she respects and loves me as well and I just want nothing but the best for her and her future.”

Chloe and Shayne: Not Together

While multi-show reality star Chloe and Love Is Blind’s Shayne had a great personality match, their differences in communication led to their relationship not working out. We saw Shayne be quick to retreat versus talk things through that were bothering him. “As a 23-year-old woman, I am very mature for my age. I am someone who communicates really well, someone who has been through a lot in her life, that’s experienced certain things that people wouldn’t experience in a lifetime. Through that and all the struggles that I’ve encountered in my previous relationships, it’s like when you get with someone that doesn’t communicate as well as you, it’s so frustrating. But I hope that it showed that I was patient,” shared Chloe, adding: “I’m not really in contact with Shayne anymore, but we’re still on good terms. We just didn’t work.”

Things didn’t work with her ex Mitchell who also appeared on the show, but the experience helped him learn more about himself in the process. “I came in just open-hearted and I think I realized through talking to Chloe how scared I was to open my heart fully and go there,” Mitchell said. “I struggled with that commitment aspect. I don’t know if it’s because I’m scared of getting hurt or just putting it all out there. That’s just something I’ve always struggled with and was trying to overcome. I made some mistakes, I made some different decisions, but I learned from it all and learned a lot about myself and how I’m going to handle my life moving forward.”

Georgia and Dom: Not Together

Georgia and Dom might’ve been chosen as this season’s Perfect Match, but things didn’t align in the real world. “I see Dom around and there's no animosity, but we're not in regular contact. We're both just focusing on our lives and careers separately,” revealed Georgia, who is now rumored to be dating her former Too Hot To Handle co-star Harry Jowsey. Dom added: “After the show, cameras are off, real reality hits, distance comes into play. I’ve got so much love for Georgia and she's beautiful. I think we all know she lights up every room that she goes into and anybody would be lucky to have her. We just said let's focus on us and see what the future holds. If we get back together, it's meant to be, if not…but plot twist me and Francesca are pretty cool. I'm really tight with her boyfriend.”

Within the first few episodes, Dom was really focused on his relationship for Francesca who ditched him when Love Is Blind’s Damian came into the villa. She gave us an update on her relationships with members of the cast as well. “Oddly enough for me, my current boyfriend and Dom ended up becoming really close friends. They text every single day, like they are inseparable. That's been great watching their friendship and me and Dom have a great friendship now,” said Francesca. “I don't really talk to Damien anymore at all and then me and Abbey are just on good terms as well.”

For anyone wondering about the potential with Dom and Ines, we asked about that too! “She’s really like a sister to me,” Dom said.

Well, there you have it. No real life Perfect Matches, but maybe Perfect Friendship instead?
