Tim Allen is headed back to the North Pole!

The actor is set to reprise his role as Scott Calvin in a new Disney+ original limited series based off the hit holiday franchise The Santa Clause. The Christmas film debuted in 1994 and spun off with two more films about a dad who becomes Santa. With The Santa Clause as a working title for the new series, it will follow Scott leading up to his 65th birthday as he realizes he can’t be Santa forever. The show will see him on the journey for a Santa replacement while returning his family to a normal life.

The series will reunite Allen with showrunner Jack Burditt, the creator behind Allen’s long running show Last Man Standing. Both will serve as executive producers. This is the latest classic Disney holiday franchise to get the reboot treatment on the streaming platform, and most likely not the last, following the newest Home Alone film Home Sweet Home Alone.

Do you think Bernard the elf will return?
