A Little White Lie Unravels Camila Mendes’ Life In Upgraded Trailer

Chasing your dreams in the Big Apple can be difficult and exhausting. In Upgraded, Ana Santos (Camila Mendes) dreams of working at a top art gallery, but needs a great recommendation to get there.

The trailer shows Ana, living with her sister, as she prepares for her first day working in a gallery owned by an intimidating and successful Claire Dupont (Marisa Tomei). She points out the oil spill on the back of Ana’s shirt where we get a taste of Claire’s perfectionism. When Ana gets a call from Claire, she’s asked to be an assistant for a very serious work trip to London — initially in economy.

However, to her surprise, she gets upgraded to first class where she meets an English man named William (Archie Renaux) and tells him she’s the company’s art director. His intrigue grows, but now Ana is caught between keeping up a lie and focusing on her career.

The film also stars Lena Olin, Saoirse-Monica Jackson, Anthony Stewart Head, and Andrew Schulz.

See if Ana can live a double life when Upgraded premieres February 9 on Prime Video.
