Jesse Eisenberg Enlists A New Generation Of Magicians For A Major Heist In Now You See Me: Now You Don’t Trailer

The original Four Horseman are back together again!

Fan favorite franchise Now You See Me is back for a third film. The trailer for the aptly titled Now You See Me: Now You Don’t opens with a new generation of young magicians pulling off an elaborate stage trick that has them disguised as the OG magicians. That leads the real J. Daniel Atlas (Jesse Eisenberg) to enlist them to join him for the biggest heist yet — stealing the heart diamond.

Alongside Eisenberg, Isla Fisher makes her triumphant return as Henley Reeves after not appearing in the second film. The rest of the crew are back too with Dave Franco as Jack Wilder, Woody Harrelson as Merritt McKinney, and Mark Ruffalo as Dylan Rhodes, with new additions Ariana Greenblatt, Dominic Sessa, Rosamund Pike, and Justice Smith.

The Four Horsemen are known for their big heists where they give money to the audience and brought that magic to viewers at home in honor of this new trailer. During a live stream to promote the film, lucky fans had the opportunity to text a phone number to receive $119.16 through Venmo!

Back in 2023, Eisenberg spoke with Pop Culture Planet for his new film Manodrome and opened up about returning to the Now You See Me universe. Eisenberg called the films “my favorite thing in the world” to work on and revealed that, since the script was still in flux when he first signed on, it gave him flexibility to choose the direction of his character. “I said, ‘I want to play this kind of arrogant, confident showman’ because, as an actor, I’m very nervous,” he told us. “I’m a showman, but I’m nervous. That wouldn’t be great. So I got to play in two movies already this comfortable, self confident person who’s also a performer like me. It was just amazing.”

In addition to this third film, a fourth has already been confirmed — both of which will be directed by Ruben Fleischer, who Eisenberg worked with on the Zombieland movies. “It was like a vacation because I got to feel good about myself all day on set like the character is. So when I heard that [they’re] making a third one, [I was like] please, please!” Eisenberg exclaimed. “If they could make these one a year, I could finally wean myself off anti-depressants because they make me feel so great.”

Now You See Me: Now You Don’t hits theaters on November 14.
