Let’s be real, we’ve been obsessed with this world from the twisted mind of R.L. Stine since we were kids, but that passion was renewed when the hit Fear Street film trilogy hit Netflix in 2021. Now Fear Street: Prom Queen will bring us back to the cursed Shadyside High just in time for prom season. The new trailer finds an outsider putting herself in the running for prom queen amongst the school’s It Girls. But when the other candidates start mysteriously disappearing, the Class of ‘88 is unprepared for just how killer their prom night will be.

While the Fear Street film trilogy was inspired by Stine’s popular series, this will be the first one to adapt a specific book: 1992’s The Prom Queen. India Fowler, Suzanna Son, Fina Strazza, David Iacono, Ella Rubin, Chris Klein, Lili Taylor, Katherine Waterston, and Ariana Greenblatt round out the cast.

Fear Street: Prom Queen hits Netflix on May 23.
